Hear what comfortable words our Savior Christ saith unto all that truly turn to him.
Come unto me all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. Matt. xi. 28.
To The Class of 1959:
For several years there has been a group of men and women who have
been praying faithfully for our classmates, The Citadel, the leadership
at The Citadel (both administratively and academically), and for God to
be magnified and glorified on campus in every way.
There is evidence in the natural, that God has heard and is honoring these prayers of these and other faithful men.
Today, there are small and growing bible studies for and by cadets in every barracks, that meet on a weekly basis.
A class memorial and prayer service has been established and is now part of our class reunions.
Many of our classmates have had healings occur. Additionally, your prayers comfort and sustain them.
Some of the widows of our departed classmates, have been encouraged by keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.
This prayer ministry was established after the November 2001 memorial and prayer service. There are currently one hundred and four (104) men and women that are lifting you up in prayer each day. We invite others to come forward and join us. I can tell you that the men, and their families that are the focus of specific prayer requests are very encouraged and thankful for the love, care, and attention that is being shown to them
If you are interested in joining us as a prayer servant, please contact me. All this is required is a heart for the things of God. Just send an email to me, Duke Burnett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are in need of prayer, or know of a classmate needing/desiring prayer, please let me know. I will get the word out to those on the prayer team.
May God Bless you in all that you do.
